Report Manager Specialist

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, Report Manager Specialist to join our Merchandising Team.  This will be responsible for many duties, the most important being taking our PIES data and converting it from XML into a formant (Excel) that we can use. Our client also generates data that requires someone to manual create a PDF report many times a week / month, depending on the report type, and deposit the reports into a folder for client's access.

Job Duties:

  • PIES: We receive product information from vendors in a format called “PIES” (more information at https://www.autocare.org/ProductDetail.aspx?id=293&gmssopc=1 Standard definition and technical info at: http://www.autocare.org/What-We-Do/Technology/ResourceFiles/PIES_6_7_rev4) We receive the data in the form of an xml file and a zip file containing digital assets (photos and pdf files). Each vendor has their own set of files, which makes it difficult for us to process the files. We would like to have a excel specialist to take the raw xml data, and enter it into a database so that we can access PIES data from all vendors in one location. We will need to be able to export all of the data in an excel or csv file format. We will also provide a list of new products periodically. This person will have to match up the product list to xml and digital files, then send us any digital assets that match the product list that we sent over. These files will have to be renamed to match our criteria and uploaded to an FTP server.
  • Weekly / Monthly reports: Candidate will pull weekly and monthly reports from Tableau and transfer them into a format (PDF, Excel) usable for internal and external customers.
  • Data Clean-Up: Turn5 has multiple data points that need manual attention to clean-up to ensure the accuracy of the information we send to customers. This includes matching our part numbers with those in electronic feeds from manufacturers, notifying and confirming backorders with suppliers, and verifying installation sites we intend to use as “preferred installation shops” for our customers.
  • Convert “jobber sheets” (these are spreadsheets containing products and pricing and all other data from manufactures) into a standard Excel format.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a College graduate of any degree
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Excel (XML) and Tableau (minimal)
  • Experience in report management is required
  • Possess excellent English communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Must be willing to work on night shift
